Atlas Overview
Online mapping of species and habitat information was the initial focus of the atlas partnership. This sub-atlas has a variety of both agency and locally developed layers.
Locally developed map layers include bear sightings from the Bear Aware program, bird sightings, and grassland habitat mapping of the Grassland Conservation Council of BC.
Two local clubs, The Kamloops Naturalists and the Barnhartvale Horse and Hiker Trail Preservation Society, are considering using data update tools to share their club information with the wider community through the atlas.
