Proposed Map Layers

The existing map layers need to be updated on a regular basis.  Financial support is needed for these tasks.Future map layers that partners would like to develop include:

  • Walking time to food retail locations from residential areas
  • Walking time to community gardens from residential areas
  • Walking time to community food locations from residential areas
  • Cycling time to food retail locations from residential areas
  • Cycling time to community gardens from residential areas
  • Cycling  time to community food locations from residential areas
  • Transit time to food retail locations from residential areas
  • Transit time to community gardens from residential areas
  • Transit  time to community food locations from residential areas
These types of products have been developed for Toronto using advanced GIS techniques.  This expertise is available within the Kamloops atlas partnership – financial resources are needed to make this a reality
