Atlas Overview
The Kamloops-South Thompson Emergency Management Atlas is in the initial phase of development. The intent of the atlas is to support the management of risk from both natural hazards and the movement of hazardous goods, as well as support decision making in response to emergencies in general.
The emergency management theme is relevant because the area encompassed by the Kamloops-South Thompson Atlas is at risk from flood events and wildfires, as well as from incidents associated with the transportation of hazardous materials on railways and highways.
Current thematic map layers:
- Public safety sites
- Urban fire risk
- Fire hydrants
